Prescription Refills

Ideally, prescription refills are best handled at your regularly scheduled office visit. At this time we are able to review with you proper dosages and any potential problems. With this in mind we are requesting that you bring all your current prescription medications, including vitamins and supplements, to each routine appointment. In this way we can verify your medications and coordinate your refills. Some medications require laboratory monitoring and this is best documented during your office visit.

We strive to schedule your follow-up appointment at the time of your office visit in order to ensure continued care is provided and all prescriptions remain up to date.

After Hours Emergencies

If you experience a life-threatening emergency, please dial 911 immediately.

If you have an urgent matter after normal business hours please call our office number, 804-673-8791 or 804-673-8833. Press 0 for an operator who will answer your call and page the physician.

Getting Copies of Your Medical Records

Medical records are confidential. We will not release information about your care to anyone, including other family members, without a signed release. For copies of medical records to the individual patient, the processing fee is $10.00 and $.50 a page for the first 50 pages and $.25 per page thereafter per Virginia Code 8.01-413a. Please allow two weeks to process these requests.

Copies of medical records to attorneys, insurance companies, or other third parties will be subject to reasonable fees.

There is a $20.00 fee for each medical form that needs to be filled out.
